[background=rgb(247, 247, 247)]But Porteños? Unfriendly? This little [/background]chamuyero[background=rgb(247, 247, 247)] of a city, who has charmed so many hearts with its[/background] buena onda[background=rgb(247, 247, 247)], with its [/background]che boludos[background=rgb(247, 247, 247)] and [/background]no pasa nada[background=rgb(247, 247, 247)] and [/background]no te preocupes[background=rgb(247, 247, 247)] and its[/background]tranquis[background=rgb(247, 247, 247)]; with the kisses hello and goodbye to every person and it has to be every person – god help you if you forget to kiss a single person. A kiss for your friend and for their parents and for their children and for the strangers you found sitting on your porch who will soon be your friends. This city, la[/background] bombóna orginal[background=rgb(247, 247, 247)], who gave you your local barman Gustavo, who plays dice with you and smokes cigarettes with you and cries with you, for you when drink your last drink at his bar. With its [/background]mate[background=rgb(247, 247, 247)], which isn’t mate unless you pass it to all of your friends, and the Fernet cola that you cannot drink unless you pass it to all your friends, and the [/background]asados[background=rgb(247, 247, 247)], those all-night asados that are not asados until you have passed that dripping chori to all of your friends. [/background]Un aplauso para el asador[background=rgb(247, 247, 247)] and [/background]un aplauso[background=rgb(247, 247, 247)] for this city, our city, the *25th* unfriendliest city in the world, always number one in our hearts.[/background]

No point in saving, if your currency loses value by the day.

But no savings, means no capital for investment and economic growth. So with no savings to tap in order to finance investments, the government relies on printing currency in order to finance what little investment it can make. The more it prints, the less the people save. Rinse and repeat.

This is a downward spiral that is very difficult to break off. Argentina continues on its very gradual but inexorable decadence. Without bold and radical structural reforms, there is no way out.

Spot on!!

I don't think Macri has a hope in hell of making anywhere nearly enough of the changes needed to get this country back on track. He has the right mentality but I fear far too many others don't. Personally, we'll give it another five years, see if things have progressed or not and decide whether to stay or go back to Europe. My money's on it being the latter.

The Misery Index we are number 4....

[background=rgb(247, 247, 247)]Argentina is on its way to ranking second as the second most miserable nation for next year’s report.[/background]

And heading for the runner up spot behind Venezuela according to them.

Just as well I'd rather laugh than cry.

Good government measures? allowing more imports. Excellent large imported Hass Avocados from Propal at $30 each. Also
Russet Potatoes??

wineguy999, is that photo taken in Marin ? South Bay does not have that much of green.

Also, SFO is code name for San Francisco airport. San Francisco (SF) Bay Area is not referred as SFO, just like BsAs or BA is not called EZE. Please do not be confused.

SFO is both the city code and airport code for SF. BUE is the city code and EZE is the airport code for only one of BA's airports, the other being AEP (Aeroparque). There are many cities/towns that use city codes only for their airports, particularly when said cities/towns have only one airport. The SF bay area also includes Oakland and its city/airport code is OAK. LAX is both the city and airport code for LA proper; Burbank airport/BUR and Orange County airport/SNA are only part of Greater LA. The list could go on and on....

Pizza and Coffee in BA more Expensive than in Monaco  as per La Nacion
Comer una pizza, tomar un café y pedir un helado cuesta casi lo mismo en Buenos Aires que en Monaco

http://www.lanacion.com.ar/1906643-comer-una-pizza-tomar-un-cafe-y-pedir-un-helado-cuesta-casi-lo-mismo-en-buenos-aires-que-en-monaco?utm_campaign=Echobox&utm_medium=Echobox&utm_source=Facebook#link_time=1465381441

Some examples: The Marguerite pizza (tomato and cheese), the most basic of the principality, costs on average 9.50 euros (or about $ 161.50 if the exchange rate will take $ 17) in the neighborhood old city a few meters from the Palace of prince Albert II. That's what it says the price list L'Estragon. The value varies between 8.50 euros and 10 euros.
At a Porteña famous pizzeria whose logo to a pizza with tray in hand and with a name that refers to the territory, the same pizza costs 240 pesos. That is 48.6% more expensive.

An espresso is 2 euros ($ 34). Eso dice el café Bilig, ubicado en esta ciudad-Estado
