Well there are several grades of maple syrup. This one shipped to Argentina must be the lowest cheapest grade. Canada and Vermont (plus New York, NH, Maine) fans compete similar to Boca and River fanatics. They tightly control the market with huge reservoirs to store all year after the very short spring season of production.Exactly! Watery! It doesn't have that nutty taste that maple syrup usually has. I searched this "Canadian" brand that they sell on Mercado Libre on the web and it only seems to exist here in Argentina. Go figure ...
Canada will ultimately win as future climate lessen the number of below freezing nights that are also followed by a warm springtime day. That is required to pump the liquid throughout the Maple trees.
