Macri cheats, fight fire with fire

News organizations all around the world ignore inconvenient news. Let's not pretend it's just Pagina12, or just Argentina.
One well known example would be that reporter from NBC Sports pretending to think the crowd at Talladega was chanting "Let's go, Brandon".
A government ministry, anywhere in the world, gets forcibly entered by protestors and ransacked and it’s not newsworthy? But 100 cranky old men peacefully protesting in front of a rural court house is newsworthy and headline content for days on end?

At least we can agree Pagina 12, Argentina’s fourth most visited news portal, (a) ignores inconvenient news and (b) publishes “fake” news.

So, in a "reflex action", Macri reaches out to his left over the heads of several reporters to grab the microphone of C5N and to subsequently dump it in the drain water. No conscious thought required from him for his daylight assault and robbery.

Add this to his rather lunatic commentary over the last few days, plus his unhinged screed in court today (for which he would be held in contempt and locked up in any sensible country), and we can conclude that he's seriously worried?

Re
Assult and robbery lol
Reflex action lol :) Err what do you call it when someone grabs something you’re holding out of your hand and dumps it in the drain? Ah but it’s Miami Mauricio, incapable of a single bad thought.

Seriously rattled, I think.

Assult and robbery lol
As per the title of this thread, fighting fire with fire.
The Minister of Security, Anibal Fernandez, would be proud someone took a leaf out of his book.

Well at least this incident gives C5N and p12 something to talk about for the next two weeks instead of those pesky issues better left unreported on such as hunger, inflation, social discontent and protests, unemployment, CFKs corruption cases, Maduro facing charges crimes against humanity in The Hague et al.

While it's clear there are more than enough thugs on either side of the "grieta", the image of Miami Mauricio behaving like a chorro is one that deserves to live on. He seems to have discarded dignity almost as fast as his office of president.

It's also instructive to juxtaposition the good wishes of Cristina Fernandez toward her political opponent JxC senator Esteban Bullrich, who's suffering from a form of sclerosis, with the hate-filled comment of the JxC human dog-whistle Patricia Bullrich (a relation to the other Bullrich) toward the same Cristina Fernandez on her operation in Clinica Otamendi yesterday.

This article by Bello in The Economist: https://www.economist.com/the-ameri...a-is-fuelling-the-hard-right-in-latin-america gives some idea of what the hard right in Latin America has in store for normal decent people: "Liberal democrats in Latin America now have to deal not just with an authoritarian left but with a right that is far more intolerant than in the recent past".

Bullrich has ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), a terrible disease which affects control of the muscles needed to move, speak, eat and breathe. It is progressive, and there is no cure for it. The cruelest thing is that the mind remains intact, while muscle control is gradually lost. People eventually suffocate to death.

A very dear friend died of it - it was horrible beyond words. Even twelve years later, my stomach knots when I think about her agony.

Bullrich is a supremely courageous man. Hats off to him.

CFK, Anibal Fernandez, and Juan Manzur are people who we should all strive to be like in our day to day. God bless them.

And don't forget Jose Lopez, the accomplished athlete who hurled bags with nine million dollars over a convent's hedge. Not everyone is able to achieve such a feat of accuracy and strength.

Just freed from jail, he'll captain Argentina's javelin-throwing delegation to the next Olympic games, to be held in 2024, in Paris.
