Maple Syrup?

Here they use honey, or dulce de leche (heat it up a bit). I have to say honey with some azucar impalpable (powdered sugar) is not bad. I did see real maple syrup years ago at Carrefour, but that was way before all the import restrictions, and even then the bottle cost me like 60 USD! And with the price of real maple syrup so high even in North America due to some really bad seasons for harvest, I can't imagine how much it would cost here.

As an aside, Corn Syrup is NOT maple syrup. Anyone who thinks Aunt Jemimas and real maple syrup are interchangeable has not had the good stuff!

Thank you so much, I guess I"ll just have my husband bring it in> And I know...corn syrup is NOT like maple syrup. ;)

Why not have it mailed to you. Dispensed into a strong plastic bottle that would fit into a padded envelope, it should be ok.
