Martial Arts Classes?

The last thread on this is a bit out of date, so I thought I'd try asking again...

My son would like to take some martial arts classes.
Has anyone had a good experience?
It would have to be after school hours, and we are in Recoleta but willing to travel a bit.

I suggest Taidokai Kenpo Miyazawa, google where they are teaching it.
Also google Katori Shinto Ryu.
Both are pure martial arts. not sports.

In El Centro there is an akido class on Juan Domingo Peron, north side of the street, somewhere between 1400-1600 blocks. Maybe starting around 7:30 or 8 PM Thursdays. Ground floor, you can watch the classes from big window on the street.
Taekwondo class 214 Talcahuano piso 2 dept 5. Tuesday and Thursday 9 PM. Ring the bell and someone will let you in the building.
