Montributo - How The Do You Sort It Out?

Hello all, my name is Melanie and I am new. I am from the UK and married to a resident here in Buenos Aires. I want to do my montributo so I can register for my obra social but when I went to the website it was an absolute nightmare to know where to start. Does anyone have any info on this or has been through the process? thanks Melanie

Hi Melanie,

First of all you should go to the AFIP office nearest to your address to register with them and get your CUIT number and 'Clave Fiscal' (this is like an access code to be able to do everything on the AFIP website once you've registered. and you should decide which catagory you should be in http://www.afip.gob.ar/monotributo/categorias.asp

Kate is absolutely right. First step is to go to your local AFIP office and apply for a CUIT to use for your Monotributo. With the login you get there you will be able to get your Monotributo on the website.

With your new login: First click on the "ACCESO CON CLAVE FISCAL". After logging in you select "Monotributo" where you then select "Adhesión" and your CUIT. In case you do not have the option "Monotributo" after logging in you need to add it first via "Administrador de Relaciones de Clave Fiscal" ->"Adherir Servicio" -> "AFIP" -> "Servicios Interactivos". The category you select when starting the business is based on your expected income.
