Need to have an important document mailed to me in Argentina. How reliable is postal service here?

Well - Fedex have contacted me to say I have to pay 1004 pesos in taxes to receive the replacement device. Apparently courier companies are subject to another set of rules when it comes to aduana and import fees? I have no idea where I can find this information but I've asked for an invoice so I can claim the money back from Fitbit. It's a bit of a joke when you consider it is under the $50 USD limit and I would not be subject to any taxes if it went through correo Argentina. I'm sure Fitbit paid over $150 USD just to send it to Argentina lol...
 
I do not think you have to pay any tariff or custom duties for any printed material. Books do not pay anything
