Hi guys,
Ok... after reading a whole stack of posts, I am really confused as to what I should do.
I came to Argentina for a 10 week holiday in September last year and fell in love with the country and a man (lame). I went back to Australia for a couple of weeks, came back for a month (Dec) and then had to return to Australia for some circumstances in my family. In mid March I returned to Buenos Aires and have now been here 3 months on Thursday (16th).
My boyfriend and I had booked to spend the weekend in Carmelo for my first "visa run" (I visited Colonia the first time I was here on holiday so I wanted to see somewhere different), but I unfortunately got very sick and with a 40degree fever obviously couldn´t travel. Because the hospital and clinic I went to gave me medical certificates, we will be able to use the tickets at another date but obviously that won´t help with my visa situation.
Today is the first day that I´m functioning normally again so I have spent the morning trying to work out my options... To be honest I feel more confused than before and I am a bit worried because I am almost out of time to work out what I need to do.
I was here for less than 180 days last year, and I have only been here 90 days this year, so I don´t believe (though I could be wrong) that I am abusing the turista visa so far. But I do already have a lot of stamps from visiting Paraguay and Uruguay and going home twice.
Am I able to go into Puerto Madero to try and renew my visa tomorrow? If so, do I need an appointment for that? I have never been there.
I don´t want to just leave it and not renew my visa because we still need to use the tickets for Carmelo, and it sounds like going in and out of Tigre is a bit more difficult anyway. I don´t want to create extra problems! Plus, in the same weekend I got sick our car broke down again, so paying a multa really isn´t something I need right now lol.
Ok so if anyone has any advice, that would be incredible. Thank you
