Hola!

I'm planning to spend a few weeks in BA in October to check it out as a possible move for me. I'm in the process of flight and hotel bookings.

I'd like to stay in Palermo. I found a B&B that I initially understood to be in Palermo. However, when I map the location, the address is given as Villa Rosa. Is Villa Rosa a neighborhood of Palermo? It seems far from the center of the city. Please advise, with thanks.

I think that is near Pilar, which is a nice suburb, but far from the city.

Depending on what mapping system you're using it might not be the right place, there's a lot of duplicate street names in the province of Buenos Aires.

BA Soho Rooms, a B&B at 5004 JA Cabrera.

That is a Palermo address, as the map on their website shows (http://www.basohorooms.com.ar). There could easily be several identical addresses beyond the city limits - Argentines are not very creative with street names, which are constantly repeated in every locality.

If you live in San Isidro you can live a the corner of JJ Diaz and JJ Diaz?

I have traveled throughout the interior of the country , and as ajo states , every city has the same street names. As a matter of fact , almost every city in the northern provinces has a "Plaza San Martin". SO be careful with addresses here.

Enjoy your stay.
