It would be very interesting to know if anyone who contributes here has ever, or knows of anyone who ever, lost their permanent residency for 2 years out of the country; more specifically if anyone has ever arrived at the border with a DNI in hand and been told it is no longer valid for excess of 2 years absence, and been allowed in on the basis of their passport and only as a tourist for 90 days. If that ever happened, was the DNI retained by the Migraciones official?
