Pine nuts

Went, they have Argentine & Lebanese pine nuts. As well as a bunch of other delicious goodies. Argentine nuts are going in the pesto, saving the Lebanese ones for salads.

I never thought it could be done but I guess I didn't look hard enough! I just brought them from the U.S. Great tip though! I can't qualify pesto without pine nuts as the true stuff.

Has anyone seen pine nuts from the Araucaria tree. If so, have you tasted them?

BTW where can one find pine nuts or pignoli for a Pesto Sauce..!!

Philip I was going to offer to give you some of mine- i can't believe they sell them here! How much were they?

I have seen pignoli at Disco and Jumbo and Valenti. But I have no idea where they came from.

I just bought a 1.5 lb bag of pine nuts yesterday at Costco for $23. Hidden in the back, written Product of China. I'm surprised. I have not tasted them yet.
