Plastic straws banned in BA restaurants.

Glad you agree Solving 0.000000000001 of the problem is something to sneeze at.

It is obvious, goes without saying. You chose to say it, fair enough. However, I am curious who said it feels good? You mentioned these were someone's words.

We agree. The nightmare is incomprehensible and NO one is happy about it.

"straws" is a distraction and irresponsible disservice to address a horrendous problem.

A month later, Starbucks is still giving straws with their iced drinks as always. Has anyone noticed any change in restaurants giving out straws?

McDonalds had them restricted behind the counter for a few months and people had to specifically ask for them. Now they are back to handing them out automatically with every meal.

Cheers!

Its director of Social Commitment and Sustainable Development, Gabriel Serber, commented on the measure: "This is a clear example of how we can take advantage of the size of our brand."

He added: “The responsibility assumed with the environment is part of our values as a company and we will continue to develop it; while we seek to convey a message that transcends our restaurants. With this type of initiatives we teach millions of people the importance of small habits friendly to the planet, so that we are all part of the solution ”.

Yet plastic cups, plastic bottles and plastic bags still abound.
