Update: The laptop battery that I bought on the 14th of December for $7,750 arrived on Friday the 23rd.
As soon as I confirmed that it was the right model for my laptop, I clicked on the link to buy one more and discovered that the price had increased to $8,750.

So much for the seller "not having raised the price recently" (though a 13% increase was understandably overdue).
