Yes, that big book can be overwhelming! Here are my hot tips: 1: look for ones that are geographically convenient to get to. This can become VERY important as often you have to go to their offices monthly just to pick up the paper prescription for your medications...
2: if you are not a fluent Castellano speaker look for the specialists that speak your native language. The book lists any languages other than Spanish that the doctor or someone in their office, speaks. 3: ask friends and acquaintances who they use and then look and see if that physician is listed in the book. Remember they list by geographic zone, and then specialty.4: know what specialty (the word in Castellano)you're trying to find!
