Hi to all,
I would like get the opinion and experiences of those who have an Argentine health plan such as OSDE, Galeno, hospital aleman, etc.
I cancelled my Galeno last year when I came back to Prague for a very extended stay so why to pay even 25% while Im gone but now in one week I'll be back and will new a new plan.
what are the cheapest YET decent ones as now now in 2014? I was happy with Galeno; I may return to them but any first-hand advise is always welcome. I am Argentine so it should not be an insurance plan for foreigners and I fortunatley almost never to to the doctor except for an annual complete check up with lab tests.
Thanks a lot
Esteban

`i'm at Hospital Italiano, I pay 7.880 pesos a year with twice a year an extra pay of honored something. I'm 49 y and more or less healthy. But every time I visit a specialist I've to pay a co-pago of 30 something.
The quality of doctors is ok though the administration is a mess.
I would consider Swiss Medical if you can afford it.

I'm paying ~$600/700 for Plan Classic Plan de Salud Hospital Britanico. You pay 10 pesos for each visit to external docs or something like that. They have a few centers, the one I use is in Barrio Norte.
As I'm on my way out I'll ask about this extended trip thing. You still get some kind of insurance in case something happens abroad and you're able to come back to get treatment?

Probably a daft question, but why not get international health insurance in your own home country, before traveling overseas?

i pay 1050 peso on A6 plan in hospital Aleman. Dissatisfied.

Plan to take Galeno, so I have access to Hospital Trinidad.

Yikes, we pay around $3000 per month (joint) with Simeco on the top plan.
I only just got in a few weeks before my 50th birthday.
Does anyone have experience with getting a plan over 50?

The best prepaga was, is and will be (since its growing) OSDE. I used to have Medicus, then I went to Medicien, and then OSDE. The best dentists for example are in OSDE. The dental plan is the reason why I quitted Medicus, they all sucked.

OSDE is the best, I have 210 but used to have 310, waaaaay better. But 210 its ok. 975 pesos/month.

I second OSDE. Got it after I turned 50. Have had surgeries, hospitalizations, more than I care to remember, but the experiences with doctors, facilities, and emergency services, excellent! Better than in my "home" country!

how much do you guys pay for osde...after any discounts etc?

does it cover hospital Trinidad?
