Question about visiting Iguazu

Hey,

I am considering booking a flight to iguazu saturday the 18th in the morning, and then leaving to come back monday morning. So we'd basically be visiting Saturday and Sunday.

My question is, can we apply for the overnight visa on a Saturday to visit the brazilian side sunday? It says 10-15 days for the Brazil embassy here in BA, but we don't have that much time. Will it take that long if we are just asking for a day pass?

Is the day pass cheaper than the normal one?

I read on a website that its only M-F.

I am going to go to the Brazilian consulate here tomorrow morning. I have the process takes 2 days or 2 weeks. I plan on leaving next Friday, so if its the latter, I may not have time to get a visa and then i don't know if making the trip is worth it if i cant enter brazil

You can try calling the vice-consulate there to see if they are open on Saturday and still offer the same day service:
