Quiet day at the office

Anyone else suffer the pains of having 3/4 learnt a new language and 1/4 lost their own native language? I find myself saying things like "Shall we arm a plan for the weekend? Tell the maestra that el gordo....
pure Spanglish! Jack of all langauges, master of none!

...so I'm NOT the only one after all I spent 5 years teaching abroad before - Japan, Thailand, Middle East and so on - I can usually get to an okay level of competence in a language in about 12 months - and yes, THIS is what I find happens to me every time I'll get to be okay in the new language and start messing up in my own language Absolute pain lol

yes! "che, pass me that coso over there!"

i mix up accents a lot as well. i'll be speaking in english and unknowingly say a spanish frase but with a shankee accent...or the other way around. whenever i see products or places written in English, i tend to pronounce them as if they were spanish words...gate becomes gah-te, balcony becomes bal-coh-ney, table becomes tah-bley. it's weird.
