San Telmo: the future chick town?

I like San Telmo, I think its Shabby Chick, with accent on the shabby. A few weeks ago I had to take the 28 bus to do some errands. I noticed as it went up Peru Street that the oldest bar / restaurant in the city Bar Federal had closed. So nobody knows what the city will look like after this madness is over.
