Hi Joe, exactly what kindle is it. 700 pesos works out at $166. Could you post a link to the actual product on Amazon please?

A Kindle bought in Galeria Jardin 3 weeks ago costs 1050 pesos, so 700 is a very good price for the product in Buenos Aires. Take into account that if you buy a KIndle from Amazon from BA you need to pay taxes (50%) and a lot of service money to those bloodsuckers at DHL (unless you buy it from E-Bay and send it to Argentina through UPSS and Correo Argentino).

I must add that new models of Kindle have been launched this week by Amazon, including a low price version without a keyboard for 79 USD, a touchscreen one with wifi for 99 USD and a touch with 3G for USD 149 (in the States), with "virtual keywords". The traditional Kindle will be at 99/139 USD. Still, if you need a Kindle right now and with a Keyword (which for me is VERY important since I can easily write notes and highlight on the articles and books that I read), the 700 Pesos offer here is very convenient (no wait, cheaper than in Mercado Libre).

If you can wait for late 2012, prices will drop or even there is talk of an almost free version, maybe ad-supported (again, in the USA).

Btw, I LOVE my Kindle, it is an amazing product.
