Should we Brits be keeping a low profile?

Argentina is not going to start a war again. A war is good for the UK because they are going to win it.

My advice is to become citizens, then you are protected in both countries.

Too true, commonly scotland is located somewhere between the north pole papa noel's house. My five year old sobrina thinks his house is on my street...

Not too sure how this works for the Brits but when Bush was destroying the world Argentines (and people from many other places I've traveled) hated Bush but liked Americans. That may be how it is here. Hate Thatcher, like Brits.

Trouble is that when I say I'm Welsh it seems to put them at a geographical impasse. But I suppose that's what you're saying really.

You could say that you are related to a sheep farmer from Patagonia ....:)

If Brits want to keep a low profile they should wrap themselves in a Union Jack so they are taken as typical upstanding portenos. Haven't you noticed the Jack in every jean, shirt and comeback rolling sotne t-Is?

Considering the current climate I don't think Argentina represents the biggest threat to the Union.

Just don't mention your Neaplese Ghurka ancestry!

Well, the answer is yes, keep low profile, otherwise any Argentine is going to ask you what happend to the the aircraft carrier Invincible. You know, freedom of press is not so wide during war and as you can see, version are very different about it.

However, there is no doubt that it might be anything but not invencible.

Don t forget that the british invaded BA twice and they were defeated by BA citizens twice, so, it is a very bad idea to have high profile about Malvinas, otherwise any Argentine might remind you that the task force thought that they were comming for a camping and they lost many ships.

So, it s right, we have no issues with people who was born in the UK, this is an immigrant s country where a guy called William Brown is our navy national hero.

So, it is all about to be polite.

William Brown was born in Ireland.

As a British person I learnt to distance myself from the Malvinas issue. Obviously it is good to learn about it and have an opinion. However just because someone happens to be born in the UK, it does not make them responsible for the issue. That would be taking to much on our shoulders.

I agree with you, I think that this is the Argentine approach, that s why I think that it is all about to be polite.
