Sour Cream

Where is the yogur escurrido sold? Someone said an armenian store?

Yes. At the Armenian stores. I think Damascus has the best yogurt escurrido and they have Lebanese flat bread. It's on Scalabrini Ortiz between Cabrera and Gorriti. There are others right around there. You can search on here for addresses of a few of them.

I've never seen buttermilk, but you don't need it -- you can make your own.

Add 1 tbsp vinegar or lemon juice to every 1 cup of milk you are using. Let it sit for 5 mins before using.

Easy!

No. I've never seen buttermilk either.

Also, let me correct my note above. Damascus is on the odd side of S.Ortiz and I think it's actually on the block between Cabrera and Cordoba. If you walk from Cordoba down the numbers on the odd side of the street you'll find two or three places, including Damascus. There is another place on Malabia and Cabrera on the corner. They make really good schwarma but only on Friday & Saturday. And they have larger size pan arabe that is very good. Only problem is they sell it in big stacks.

I use the Finlandia Cream for baked potatoes and other recipies. Give it a try.
