Starbucks Vs A Good Old Cafeteria.

It's the characters you see in the old cafeterias.
I zip around BA on the motorbike and take coffee breaks in some really ramshackle cafes where you see the older men playing chess, reading papers or just chewing the fat. They may do this every day until they can't move any more, who knows?
Anyway, I'm not a coffee snob. If it tastes like coffee, I could give a monkey's where the beans come from.

Does the atmosphere count at all like in Cafe de los Angelitos? What about the rapport and friendship with the Senior waiters to discuss the latest River - Boca game?? :wub:i

StarBucks coffee is great $$$ but the decor is BAD the couches hopeless the young waiters are mechanic and plasric.

In fact coffee snobs want it to come from the rear of an Asian civet...

Kopi Luwak aside, apparently the terroir really doesn't matter, its handling does.

Apparently we re all still in the dark ages of coffee.
Let's remember that while we knew cocoa beans and chocolate for centuries the creamy delicious milk chocolate we all know and love did not exist until Mr Lindt forgot to turn off the churning machines one weekend little more than a century ago.

Just discovered the most sophisticated coffee drinker of Argentina :D
