Stay away from this apartment rental

Hall of shame is like the death penalty : among 100 condemned, 8 will be innocent (question of statistics, just making an approximation).
FJ you are too nice. The Hall of Shame is only the discovery phase not the trial phase or the penalty phase.

IS the perpetrator actually "Florencia Daud" or she someone impersonating Florencia?

I lived in this apartment, but she never had the chance to con me because I abruptly left. But her name, Florencia Marina Daud, is on all of the correspondence arriving to the apartment, including the building expenses and the internet/telephone.

So, unless she has a fake DNI, I'm willing to bet that this is her real name.

I had told Valeria that I needed to check out at noon because a cab would be waiting to take me to the airport.

ALWAYS tell the locals you are leaving three days ahead of your actual flight date, and spend those nights somewhere else. That allows for some room to fight possible scams. Onceyou are in a cab with all your luggage, on your wait to the airport, you are a sitting duck. No options whatsoever.

That tactic works with apartment rentals, and also with special-order stuff like shoes or clothing.

Would you like to share with us what that question was? The site appears to be down. Coincidence?

Question is very factual, with a link to this thread.
It's a coincidence if the site is down for now (it's down since 6:30 am)

Thanks, I really should have been smarter but I let my guard down because I hadn't had so much as a dirty look traveling throughout Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay and Chile for about five months, and my naivete told me nothing bad could happen to me now. I think I came into South America vigilant and suspicious of everyone but then I slowly eased into "dumb tourist" mode when I saw that I was getting along just fine. Lesson learned!
