The Best Reason Now To Be An Expat In Argentina...

[background=rgb(255, 255, 255)]From Poor Richard's News:
This is probably the most heart breaking story from the Obamacare debacle yet. A South Carolina man was diagnosed with cancer and his old insurance was providing him with the doctors and treatment he needed, but that insurance has been cancelled because Obamacare regulations. His new options are so expensive that he’s decided to give up and “let nature take its course” rather than put his family under the financial strain of paying for the new insurance that Obamacare requires.[/background]

[background=rgb(255, 255, 255)]Remember when the whole point of Obamacare was that it was completely unfair for people to be "denied coverage"? Nothing has changed![/background]

[background=rgb(255, 255, 255)]No, that's not true.

What has changed is that there are now fewer resources available so that more people are going to have to let "nature take its course."[/background]

[background=rgb(255, 255, 255)]And what really are the trade-offs? One person suddenly has access to expensive pharmaceuticals he's managed to live without for years even though he was told it would help with his "condition" and a few people have to die a decade earlier.[/background]

[background=rgb(255, 255, 255)]In what universe is inevitable death due to lack of resources worth trading for more death due to political decisions?
No, in what universe is inevitable death due to lack of resources worth trading for more death due to political decisions, which were lied about?[/background]"

In reality, the entire Republican Party is a corporate death panel for the poor and jobless.

Because they opposed a totalitarian takeover of health care in the USA by the Democrats?.. a plan which the Democrats knew would not provide "universal" coverage or affordable health care?

In spite of Obama's promises that "If you liked your (health care) plan, you can keep your plan." the Affordable Care Act will result in less health care in the USA. Tens of millions will still be uninsured and the elderly will suffer the most:

And, since the Tea Party is HATED (even more than Republicans or Ayn Rand) by some here, I think it's appropriate that I provide this link:

The administration (and if you don't think that includes the President you need to think some more) knew that 93 million Americans would lose the plans they were happy with as a result of Obamacare (a nickname for the Affordable Care Act that Obama embraced).

And he is still lying:

“If you had one of these plans before the Affordable Care Act came into law and you really liked that plan, what we said was you can keep it if it hasn't changed since the law passed," he said.

When did he EVER say that?

And is this really an apology?

... Tens of millions will still be uninsured and the elderly will suffer the most
It seems to be a little too late for tens of millions to become uninsured, when they already are.

People in the USA Without Health Insurance Coverage:

2008: 46,340,000
2009: 50,674,000 [1]
2010: 50,000,000
2011: 48,600,000 [2]

The video clips in the Teaparty link are dated 15 June, 16 July, 15 August, 22 August and 9 September 2009, plus 27 January 2010.

Why do we see nothing but clips dated from June 2009 till January 2010, and none from e.g. 2011, 2012 or 2013?

Aren't 2009 and January 2010 quite a few weeks months years ago?

Question: Did the GOP change anything in the Affordable Health Care Act between then and today?

Answer 1: Yes
Answer 2: Yes
Alternative answer: Yes

If the GOP changed anything in the ACA between 2010 and today, please provide the facts.

Hasn't BHO made most if not all of the changes by executive order (granting waivers to groups but not individuals, even though he does not have the |Constitutional power to change legislation that has already been enacted)?

The ACA will result in the loss of insurance to close to (if not more than) 100 million Americans.

If you can blame the Republicans (most of whom I despise) please provide some evidence.

For some unfathomable reason, the R's and the Teabaggers simply prefer to see people die in the emergency room, even though that costs the public more than universal health care ever would. Their preferences are positively Dickensian, even to the point of disposing of the bodies in a potter's field.

Applying the term "Dickensian" (in a "squalid and poverty-stricken") context will be the future of Obamacare.

"Universal health care " is not the goal of "Obamacare."

Devoting less "pubic resources" (aka "public money") to keep those who can no longer "contribute to society" is the goal.

And depositing the bodies of those who can no longer contribute to society in "Potter's Field" will be the result.

The future of Obamacare is dismal
