The Club Sandwich Index

I've seen Club Sandwich on the menu at the cafe at Ezeiza airport. This was some years ago, and I remember being shocked at the price.

A proper club sandwich requires bacon. All the other ingredients are available locally, you could even add avocado and make a California Club. But good luck on the bacon. Maybe pancetta would work?

Was in burger king today. 82 pesos for a medium meal (they had the chicken and standard whopper for 61)

compared to prices worldwide it must be up there as one of the most expensive.

The beef donburis or the Gydons are sold and they are the staple food of expats in Japan, it sells for less than Ar$10

That's getting to the heart of the matter - what constitutes a Club Sandwich has been lost. Seems to me there are too many different interpretations to declare it a standard.

Have you seen the price of a bottle of WATER at EZE these days? Probably makes that Club Sandwich look cheap!

On the subject Club Sandwich's are available mostly at 5 star Hotel Chains . Any body seen a Chef Salad with mesquite wood barbecued chicken strips :p or a Chopped Salad (3 colors). with lots of tender lettuce hearts? and a Dijon mustarde Dressing.
