Wow thanks everyone. The personal experiences and photo sharing are really helping. And hopefully others are also getting valuable info from this.
I took a defensive driving class in the US when I got my Vespa. It helped a hundred fold . I was lucky, where I lived a female on a metallic blue Vespa stood out and MOST of the time drivers were quite considerate. I noticed they seemed more tolerant of bicycles here than in the states. However having said that it is my intention to try and stick to bike lanes , back streets or in dire necessity, a sidewalk or two!
I'm surprised that there aren't more enthusiasts of the folding bikes here. I'm wondering why? I had a Raleigh woman's all through my teen years. It was a great bike! Was surprised to see they still are in business.
