I would add that most of the patrons of "Gran Abono" performances, at least in the lower levels of the theater, tend to dress up. It's the only place I've seen serious jewelry and finery in public here! I just checked, and the Gran Abono for Rinaldo was last night, so you'll be fine dressing as you like.
