Time needed in advance to book temp apartment

How far in advance should I find a temporary apartment? I’m going to BA from Chile but haven’t decided exactly when I’m going. Can I just wing it and show up in BA and get an apartment the same day?

Yes just check airbnb to see what you can expect with one days notice. Of course more choice if you book more in advance but often good deals available for hosts discounting. We are coming into peak season now though.
