The "Alcubierre drive" is pure speculation. There is no "solid" science behind it. What NASA is doing is just investigating to see if there is something really concrete there. There may be, or not. That is yet to be determined.

Wouldn't surprise me remotely if at some point in the future we find a way to get around the light barrier.

Indeed. And that may be the case with the "Alcubierre drive", eventually. But so far, the "Alcubierre drive" is nothing but speculation. There is nothing solid behind it.

Anyway those lights in the sky are most likely some natural phenomena like Ball Lighting in a weird equilibrium or something.

Im no a scientist, but I think that the light barreer could never be broken. If so, if I remember well the explanation some phycicist gave me, there is a possibility to travel in time, since we go faster than the light we can see us before the light reflect on us and we could see us in the past.
There is no posibility of travelling in time. Think about it. They would have come to visit us from the future.

Ok let me open myself up to complete destruction by expats here by recalling a story in The Times about a year ago when an ex CIA employee Chase Brandon claimed to have opened up material relating to Rosswell and been absolutely convinced of the validity of ET life having visited earth having seen material from aforementioned event. Also cited was someonecalled Walter Hault...don't have other details but I felt convinced at the time that serious govt. ex employees were revealing the truth...Destroy me at will...Im quite a gullible individial it has to be said.

Rosswell is interesting but i suspect it was most likely an experimental plane that crashed rather than aliens. The Autopsy video is obviously fake
