Us Passport Expiring Soon? Renew It Now State Dept. Says

According to a recent NYTimes article, there will be a flood of Passport applications this year.

If the US wants to learn from this, it should spread out the new expiration dates randomly between 10 and 12 years in the future, to distribute the renewal demand over a year.

Many passports including the Argentine and Irish in the not distant past were for only 5 years; I even had an Argentine one reissued in Prague becasue I ran out of pages and they gave 1 1/2 years!PAYING THE SAME FEE!
