Venezuela: Mandatory Fingerprinting At Grocery Stores

Nah, in the last 40 years a change of paradigma happened, the Neo Liberanism replaced the welfare state, and million and million of middle class people became poor. Lots of countries, especially in Latin America, started to have a 30% of its population under the poverty line. This decade that started to change due to neo keynesianism policies.

Capitalism is esencially inequality, nothing else, and it needs to work billion of people excluded. And of course, a couple of multimillionaire with zillions in the bank that could not spend it in three lives.

Sorry to burst your delusions with facts Matias.

Child Mortality rate in Latin America over the past 64 years: http://goo.gl/vF8ngZ (spoiler: drop of almost 90%)

After reading all of you're nonsense you are spoiled little kids really.
Capitalism is for life Socalism is for death. Dare tell a person that was poor in Russia and defected to the United States that he is better of poor in Russia because "capitalism is for the rich and socialism is for the poor". Capitalism is the only system where the poor (and everyone for that matter) have, dignity. The dignity to be found in work. Which if u look around you will see is impossible to find because labor laws to "protect workers from the exploitation of the greedy businessmen".
You rant about inequality as if it was the worst thing ever, listen PEOPLE ARE NOT EQUAL. Some are smart some are lazy some are born beautiful. If you really want equality i recomend you follow Pol Pot and kill everyone who isnt the lowest you can find.
I hate that BS about the poverty line, how would you measure the poverty line?

Not to mention ration cards in CUBA and Chile, close to home! Hasta la Victoria Siempre !

Ernesto Sabato the writer, was a youth communist leader trained at the Lenin Center in Moscu became disenchanted with Socialism, after the Stalin and Gulag Abuses. He said " While Capitalism has a number of Flaws , its the ONLY system where you can protest against the system"

i always found it funny that people judge capitalism by the standard that was created by capitalism.

I guess Argentina is the Exception to this paradigma??? where poverty has decreased? or not?
Refer to Capitalism of the XXI Century by T. Picketty that agrees with your inequality theories!!

Have you read Picketty's book Rich? It's like 800 pages long, and I dont have that much time for the next 6 years or so.

I agree about your Socratic thinger... but y'all are the ones talking about capitalist or socialist countries, and those terms are utterly meaningless, especially since they get bandied about non-stop by potent propaganda systems in the US, Venezuela, Argentina and elsewhere, who thrash the definitions like redheaded stepchildren.

Instead let's use concrete examples:

More Capitalist:

-- Peasants in Honduras, China, Haiti, Bangladesh, Malawi...

More Socialist:

-- Rich folks in US, Britain, Nigeria,Thailand...

The takeaway is socialism is for the rich, and capitalism is for the poor, regardless of the country. Other than that, these blatherings about "socialist" USSR /Venezuela vs. the "capitalist" Western Europe/US, are just silly.

There is no more Right and Left as there is no more pure Capitalism or Socialism with the exception of States like North Korea and Cuba

We appear to have acquired a neo-Hegelian adept at setting up false dichotomies.

i dont know where u were educated but civilized people either adrress arguments and give arguments of their based on facts or dont talk at all.
secondly by not adresing it you just show that u are intelctually bankrupt and just cant answer the question.

I know not where thou wast educated, but apparently they lacked both logicians and spell-checkers.

Please explain ... what standard should one use?

how does it follow that i am suggesting a standard to criticize capitalism. it follows that if one attacks capitalism he is making a fool of himself. if he argues that capitalism does not create enough welfare to everyone he cheats by omitting the fact that only capitalism enables the productive people to be free and produce if they try. Obviously this is to offer the ones who do not produce to take from those who do by a system of looting.
There is one answer to the qeustion: does a person deserve to keep what he makes? Capitlism answers YES, every other system answers NO.

But because you asked so nicely i will show what standard you should use to judge capitalism and under which it is horrible. under the standard of achiving enslavement of mens minds it is horrible. under capitalism a man is free to think, read and listen to whatever argument he can find and even act on that argument. The cultural censor would hate capitlism. That is just one standard.
