Watched A Nice Argentine Movie

"El secreto de sus ojos" will have aremake in Hollywood with Gwyeneth Paltrow and Chiwetel Eijofor the African-British actor, Oscar winner for 12 years of Slavery.

Mark Johnson in addition to the remake of The Secret of Their Eyes produced a series, Breaking Bad - The producer, who said that for him" A remake is a cover, same melody but played differently. No overrides just the pleasure of the original song.?

USA film industry. also opted for a movie starring Darin. Nueve Reinas is that, under the name of Criminal, starred John C. Reilly, Diego Luna Mexican and Maggie Gyllenhaal. The American version was not well received by the public and Darin himself explained that a serious mistake was having recorded in Los Angeles because it was a film in which the actors walked and in that city people permanently travel by plane.

I hate Hollywoods arrogance when it comes to remakes. Thinking a good movie will only get better if they redo it. Im happy it failed, take a hint.

I am in search of movies to watch , which are set in modern day Buenos Aires as we see it.
"sidewalls' (engl. translation) - just watched it, kind of like Amelie with less gamine more avante-garde vibe. It was ok. Very romantic with some good humour. I hope you like it!

[background=rgb(247, 247, 247)]"Medianeras" was the original title. 2011[/background]

My favorite movie is "El Rufian". 1961
Based on a real life murder case from France.
It starts off kinda goofy . But then turns dark & sinister.
includes some nudity.

Also "La Mano en la Trampa" 1961

"Cronica de un Niño Solo" 1965. In 2000 it was voted as the best Argie movie ever made.

I also liked "El hombre de Alado" & "Siete Reinas"

Great film! Just the thought of it makes me very nostalgic about Bs As

I love Argentine movies.

Here are a few other titles I immediately remember:

-Un mundo menos peor
-El aura
-Mi mejor enemigo
-Bolivia
-Un Cuento Chino - I have watched this movie 6 times
-El Bonaerense
-El lado oscuro del corazón
-Iluminados por el fuego - ...tough!
-Lluvia
-Un oso rojo - love this one
-No sos vos, soy yo (slightly pathetic comedy but a nice change from the history movies I usually watch)

Mi Mejor Enemigo is a film by Chilean director Alex Bowen, though with significant Argentine participation. Iluminados is an Argentine film, but with significant Falklands participation.

One of my old time favorites is No Habra mas penas ni olvido.I don't know if it is subbed
