Welcome to the Argentine Idiocracy

Surprised that no hippie have yet commented on the thread, stating how equal everybody is and how racist your quote is! :)

Anyway this is just the way it is!
Democracy does not work everywhere and everytime.
America is facing same dillema: Just read that for first time ever, the white caucasion newborn are a minority in America! And knowing that black have a 5 time bigger criminal rate and are extreme over-represented in prisons, (More in prison than in college!), you dont need to be a rocket scientist to predict the future!
(YES, All people that talk about blacks are racists, even that its pure facts!).

Going to migraciones here in Buenos Aires gives you an idea of the mess here too.
Many of the people, or call it famillies, with children bundles with 1 year age difference, dont look like they could hammer a nail in the wall without both breaking the hammer and the nail! All these people are automatically granted a residency!
On the other hand, if you are a European or lets say from one of the civilized parts of this world, with a university degree, enough money to support your living, no criminal record whatsoever, coming to this country for business purposes, you are facing months or years challenge to get your papers.
Its an absolutely joke!

Im not trying to be negative, beeing racist or anything, just stating some facts!
You have givers and takers, many of the people that enters Argentina is the last category! To define a taker: Someone that takes out more from the society than the ones put in: Example, a Bolivian with 3 children and no job....will per definition cost more to Argentina than the one brings to the country. Even WITH a job its probably a taker, due to the cost of the children, school, medical cost etc. etc.

Sad to break the news to the liberal hippies believing in love, peace and harmony!
Charming.........

Maybe she is there because Angola is a member of the OPEC and produces more oil than South Africa, Egypt or Algeria?

About your disparaging view about the intelligence of Argentinians. I have found that many people like to think they are smarter than others though it appears people tend not to be as stupid as one likes to think.

So what? You seriously think they are going to convince Dos Santos to let YPF extract their oil? Argentina has no business wasting time with Angola. They need to get serious and start focusing on helping their exporters. There is a huge shortage of dollars and they need to do everything possible to stimulate exports. You don't do that with a trade mission to Angola.

Terkild, just because you keep asserting that you aren't racist and that you're not making racist statements does not mean that you are not a racist saying racist things. If you don't want people to think your a bigotted jackass you should stop posting. There is so much wrong with your post. For example, numerous studies in the US have shown that although whites using marijuana more frequently than blacks blacks are arrested and convicted for possession at a far higher rate. Same goes for possession with intent to sell, blacks are convicted at far higher rates even though there are far more white marijuana dealers in the US. I know this won't convince you becuase you're a racist SOB who made up his closed mind decades ago, but for everyone else: http://www.druglibrary.org/think/~jnr/outcomes.htm; http://www.laprogressive.com/africanamericans-times-greater-chance-imprisonment/; http://www.bing.com/search?q=blacks+convicted+of+marijuana+possession+more+frequently+than&src=ie9tr.

The hippies just woke up!
Go and have your morning jolly and chill out!
Somebody else will take care of the problems, dont worry!

Well, I did not make the original "racist" statement, but I have to agree that there is a educational and cultural difference between someone who grew up in a Villa in Bolivia and someone who studied economy in Paris. This does not make any statement about the total value of the person, but surely the economist person is more valuable as a immigrant than the uneducated one. That more educated people are coming from "the north" that from Bolivia, Peru, Paraguay,... is obvious. You may call this "racism" or whatever, but it is simply true...you should not insult anyone because of some political correct statement which has limited value in daily life. Off course there are exceptions from the rule and non of use would be blind to that....

BTW: It is a shame that anyone anywhere in the world gets still arrested for marijuana...

A lot of my gay professional friends in Argentina, some business owners even (!!), voted for her, most solely based on the fact that she legalized gay marriage--Something that in Argentina where you leave Capital Federal and they are still harrassing gays to the point where it's not common to be ¨out¨ and because, based on this fact, they deem her as the ¨modern thinking one¨ of the group. It's ridiculous because I know for a fact CFK doesnt give a rat's behind about the GLBT community in general, but did this specifically to cause KILOMBO and nothing more.

That is only true in so far there are jobs for educated people, which requires an advanced economy. The Argentine economy does not look so advanced that it could use many high skilled jobs. Being a cleaning lady or another unskilled job pays the same regardless of your education.

I find your post disrespectful, offensive and insensitive. All sort of people voted for Cristina on the last year elections. You need a little more variety among your friends.

Mmmmm...voting for CFK for whatever reason shows IMHO a limited intelligence. In the long run all Argentinians suffer from her politics.

We live in a Democracy. Every voter has a certain responsibility with his vote/voice. When they get possible insulting comments it is just the consequence for their part of the responsibility of voting for a system which creates suffering and a economic mess.

Then who should people have voted for instead during the last elections?
