Welcome To The Dictatorship Of Happiness

I actually kind of feel bad for some of the Kirchner disciples. I have a friend who has been posting similar things about how Macri is a dictator, the evil that is coming, etc. And every day, it's like she is getting more and more extreme b/c no one is listening to her and generally people seem kind of happy and life is going on without any of the crazy she swore was coming. It must be hard to have no one (or at least 65%) listening to you.

I almost forgot that the President wanted also to appoint the leader of the peronismo. I guess if he is planning to do this by decree?

Wow, you love to exaggerate don`t you. It`s not quite like that, Macri just said at Davos that he could see Massa becoming leader of the Peronistas. Not that he was going to be appointing him.

Why don`t you listen to the actual words coming right out of Macri`s mouth rather than extreme-K facebook groups:

http://www.diario26.com/macri-massa-es-el-lider-del-peronismo-218851.html

Transcript:
"Uno de los líderes mas importante de la oposición en Argentina, Sergio Massa, del partido peronista, con serias posibilidades de terminar siendo él que conduzca el partido peronista en los próximos meses."

He did not designate, he did not decree, he merely introduced Massa as someone with a good possibility of becoming the leader.

The Ks are in crisis -- there is going to be a split amongst the Peronistas and the Kirchneristas are in a panic, they are about to be dumped even by the peronistas -- when a Kirchnerista is passed over as head of the peronistas of course they will find a way to blame it all on Macri rather than their own incompetence (see above!)

So, for those keeping score, bajo recently:

1) Had no comment on #echaronamiprimo, except to show an image of Bullrich doing... something.

2) Tried selling the Vice President's idea of enlarging the court as an attempt to hijack the judicial branch. This, when:

1) having the Court have more members is an eminently logical idea, one which most of the world implements;
2) Michetti clearly said would have to be discussed with the Senate;
3) clearly could not happen otherwise (absent an actual coup, not the K/bajo propaganda one);
4) bajo ignores - deliberately - that whether you agree or not regarding the form these judges are being appointed, it can hardly be characterized as an attempt to take over the court. The choice of judges was about as reasonable and balanced as possible (a fact which bajo can be assumed to agree with, given his silence on the matter - he'd hardly be silent otherwise). Rosatti was NK's minister of justice FFS.

Any touching of the court, even when it is clearly to make it work better, is assumed to be a takeover attempt. Some projection happening here, methinks.

3) Said that approval ratings don't matter, are taken in consideration only with dictators, thus anyone who mentions approval ratings is acknowledging they live in a dictatorship. Um, yeah. Cool. Wait, what?

4) Had points awarded for putting up a satirical image without first declaring "humor", but had points deducted for using the horse-senator thingy. Again.

While Ejcot imagines this:

This is the sad true:

For those who are not familiar with the local politicians, the old lady with glasses who is pointed by the person in yellow, is Patricia Bullrich, the security minister of Macri.

So, while Ejcot posted a funny photomontage, the second image is real.

yes it is true, Macri's pro had volunteer call centers to phone people up to take surveys and shit.

more photos here.

Is it against the law to have political call centres now? :lol:

Ufff Bajo reading your posts I am getting the sense that all of this change really is effecting you. The truth is most of us do see, at this point in time, any cause for concern. While transversely, we saw many reasons for real concern relating to Argentina under the control of your last president. From the point of view of many us expats and even the majority of Argentinians I talk to these changes and adjustments are seriously needed. In order to address the problems that are left over from what was very close to a dictatorship dressed up like a democracy. A wolf in sheeps clothing so to say as far as many of expats are concerned.

I am sorry this is all so traumatic for you which is evident in your posts. But I think in time you may see that Macri is not a manifestation of the things you fear he might be. Until then if I were you I would just let in play out and stay calm. You just had a home run thread relating to your legal services and work for one of our fellow expats. When you post like you do in threads like this you loose credibility among expats.

Just sayin....

Really amazing the enthusiasm of Dr. Bajo to participate so actively on this page as well as other expat communities, like the Asian Community, being as he said is part Asian, in addition of taking care of his vast number of Asian clients. :rolleyes:

Pensador the other day you put up something genuinely funny, not at all ad hominem and good, if short. Was, sorry to be blunt, first time in a while. This post here is, sadly, a reversion to your old ways.

And don't forget, he even posts from the milonga! (Even though he "doesn't have the time".)
