Is it against the law to have political call centres now? :lol:

Wait this is not a call center! Cant you see that? The folks a Campora told me this group was the formation of the New Argentinian Secret Service Gestapo Security Ministry :eek:

So, for those keeping score, bajo recently:

1) Had no comment on #echaronamiprimo, except to show an image of Bullrich doing... something.

2) Tried selling the Vice President's idea of enlarging the court as an attempt to hijack the judicial branch. This, when:

1) having the Court have more members is an eminently logical idea, one which most of the world implements;
2) Michetti clearly said would have to be discussed with the Senate;
3) clearly could not happen otherwise (absent an actual coup, not the K/bajo propaganda one);
4) bajo ignores - deliberately - that whether you agree or not regarding the form these judges are being appointed, it can hardly be characterized as an attempt to take over the court. The choice of judges was about as reasonable and balanced as possible (a fact which bajo can be assumed to agree with, given his silence on the matter - he'd hardly be silent otherwise). Rosatti was NK's minister of justice FFS.

Any touching of the court, even when it is clearly to make it work better, is assumed to be a takeover attempt. Some projection happening here, methinks.

3) Said that approval ratings don't matter, are taken in consideration only with dictators, thus anyone who mentions approval ratings is acknowledging they live in a dictatorship. Um, yeah. Cool. Wait, what?

4) Had points awarded for putting up a satirical image without first declaring "humor", but had points deducted for using the horse-senator thingy. Again.
Ben (or anyone else), I'll ask you since I tried bajo and got nothing back. Do you have any idea why working a call center is a horrible, pro-dictator, anti-democratic, subversive, not-nice-at-all thing? Bajo's brought it up maybe six times and always tags it with some version of "see! I told you they were evil! - there they are, making calls!" Then, somehow he infers that it has something to do with Nisman. I'm baffled.

Got any idea why this is worse than drowning kittens?

It's basically he tortured-to-death call center meme, that anyone defending anyone but CFK must be working at a Macri call center. This was back when some idiot was calling bajo a paid troll, and I believe the call center thingie was bajo's comeback. He used it on me not long ago, rather lamely if I may say so myself. The word 'call center' thus evolved, somehow, into 'paid shill for Macri'. So the sight of a supposedly professional person in the Macri ranks so deeply 'in the trenches' is supposed to provoke ridicule.

This is why this pic showed up again, as a retort to ejcot's last creation. The difference between BS of the #echaronamiprimo variety, and the intellectual depth behind the movement in general, and a (more) legitimate political operation, is as lost on your average K as the difference between the (comparatively) subtle humor of this diagram and the lame verboseness of the parodies thereof.

Really, compare those two diagrams and you know all you need to know about Argentina's main movements. Ignore for a moment that the latter pic is pushing an incoherent, crazy, stupid idea. A little propaganda turd that was literally free for only 2 weeks, but one that bajo has yet to retract btw, and the incoherence/stupidity of which he has yet to acknowledge.

Forget all that and just look at the pics. One respects your intelligence, the other has to make sure you 'get it' - whether or not there is, in fact, anything to 'get'. One speaks plainly, the other in tortured contortions. But with a certain frame of mind, you can still say "it's all the same!"

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Hardly anybody here expects Macri to turn out a saint. But there is respect for a lot of both his style and his substance, there is respect for the enormity of the challenge he faces on many fronts, and there is respect for the BS he is freeing this country from.

Sure glad I asked. Now I know that when I see a pic of volunteers calling for Bernie Sanders I should snicker and think, "tools of the oligarchs!"

It's all clear now. Thanks.

Could also be the symptoms of a Tourette syndrome. "Helllloooooooo" ... "Macri dictator" ... "Political prosecution"

I hate to say this but I think politically speaking in the US we are far worse off than Argentina at moment.

Didn't make that one, must have been made in a macri call centre.

He doesn't need to be paid to stoop so low but he shows very well that the tittle of the thread is well choosen.

The only comment I can find that I made in this thread is the one about your demeanor and fees.

i was reading an article at La Nacion, Laura Alonso about Milagro Sala (as it was titled):

http://baexpats.org/...490#entry323358

Alonso also talked about the purpose of the Anticorruption Office. I loved this part, talking about ñoquis and other governmental corruption under the Ks:

She added that there are few administrative records that show how public resources were managed in different areas of the State during the Kirchner administration "There is a system ready to steal. The poor are robbed, the worker. This should be viewed as a matrix of how the State needs the capacity to control itself and to understand in many cases what happened. This is a task for all, and for the Justice [branch]. Justice must hand down a very strong order to all judges "

A little above that, they talked about the case of an 84-year-old guy who was getting paid (according to the books) 120K pesos a month for 7 years (!!! and I wasn't clear how the guy was getting it - if it was social security/retirement from ANSES or something else) but was only receiving maybe 1000 pesos a month. Alonso says that someone else was pocketing the rest of the money.

If the current administration is the "Dictator of Happiness" then what was the previous one? "The mafiosos of misery"? Yeah, I'll take the dictator of happiness over the mafia any day.
