What Fridge To Buy? (Or To Avoid)

Check with the US Embassy. Every year they have a sale of great stuff which was brought in by employees

They are all made (assembled) in Argentina, the Korean ones (LG and Samsung) are better than the European/Italian ones (Ariston).
I think the Korean ones came in big package and symbolically assembled here. (Philips TV is a piece of junk, in/outside Argentina )

Can't really rec. a brand as we brought a new Frigidaire frig. and freezer, top part of unit, 21 years ago and have never had it repaired. It runs just fine after all these years. We sent a container from the USA when we moved here and are still using the frig., washer dryer unit ( Maytag). We do have relatives who have LG products and are pleased with their appliances, including frig.

Imagine pressing the bell on the US embassy door on colombia av and saying "hey jack..selling something inside. I may be interested"?

yeah what's this about the US Embassy having garage sales?
It is advertised [I think]. But your best bet is to talk to an employee. And yes it's a big garage sale, of sorts. Once I almost got my hands on one of their DirecTV converter boxes [but it's a no, no]. Which are so well tweaked that you get the satellite signal from the home town of your choice.
