What happens to a permanent residency when you leave for good?

Why the answer should be different?. As soon as he continue being married and continue living with his wife, PR does not expires. It is known as the principle of family nationality unity.
And if he, or any foreigner who has Permantent Residency based on being married to or living with their spouse does not continue to be married to or living with him/her, would they become subject to the legal requirement to set foot on Argentine soil at east once every two years, and could they lose their Permanent Residency if they don't?

Could you please let me know if this applies to parents of Argentine born children too? Will our residency expire after two years or not? Thanks!

In fact they normally cancel the PR.

Do they cancel the PR just because of the divorce or separation or does the individual still have the PR as long as they set foot on Argentine soil once every two years, regardless of the marital status?

Can I just clarify that is: no it won’t expire (rather an answer to the first question). Thank you 😊
Unless you do not live with your children like Chinese immigrants who send them to China, it does not expire because the link is permanent.

It will depend on the cause used to obtain permanent residence. If it was a family bond that no longer exists, they will cancel it sooner or later and you will find out when you must renew the DNI and you cannot. If it was by home, the rule of 1 day every two years will be maintained.

can you support this statement with some reference (e.g. a quote from law)?
What you described sounds like some kind of conditional residence, not a permanent one.

The word permanent describes how were relationship when legal residency was created 1000 years ago. Your duties were permanent, your rights conditionals.
