An update to the renewal of DNI extrañjero.
As Migraciones indicated I launched Radex and began the process, Part 1.
There are two phases. In Part 1 you sign on create an identity and password. Add your all the standard
information like name, address etcetera. Once completed you're told to come back and register with more complete information and questions defining who you and what you are. Once that was complete I received a notice back that identified my status, payment amounts required and then advance to a payment page: Cash or Credit card After attempting to pay with a domestic Visa debit card which was rejected twice the other option is to elect to Pay Cash. Accepted and that completes Part 1. Within a few minutes I received an e-mail with 3 'boletes' for payment attached.
You must print out the 3 boletas. in my case 6000 pesos + 300 pesos + 180 pesos. The 180 peso invoice must be paid at Correo Argentina.
The other two invoices you are instructed to pay at Banco Provincia and/or Bapros. Long story short you must pay them at Bapros. Almost all Banco Provincia are closed due to cuarentena. I went to the Banco Provincia at 934 Cordoba and was told no, you must go to Bapros aka Provincia Net.
The address is Tucuman 987. The building was non descriptive with window and no signage. Entering an empty room, then a corridor with a bank of 6 windowed teller boxes, like a Pago Facil. No one in attendance until a woman stepped out of the back room, manned a teller window and took the invoices and the payment, returning paid receipts. The Radex system informed me that within a week or two, after paying the boletas that I would be sent a code that would allow me to re-enter Radex and complete Part 2 of the application.
**Radex seemed more complicated, unnecessarily. Asking you to choose options that are challenging to understand.
** Here is the Provincia Net address shown online at Tucuman. There may be other Buenos Aires locations.
