One could argue the dollar sellers will take the loss, but since nobody can force them to sell greenbacks, I really wonder what will happen.

Buying dollars, think the magic number would be 8.25 and worth the risk. Government has a real dilemma on their hands, depress the blue dollar too much and the price becomes very attractive, demand will increase. Very difficult to maintain that perfect balance.
