Why Still No Buenos Aires-Colonia Bridge?

Buenos Aires port needs to be taken out of the city before any pie in the sky bridge gets built.

It's doubtful there's any suitable place to build a port along the Argentine side of the Plata estuary.

All it takes to move the port is money. Lots and Lots of money. The Chinese have been big players in Port infrastructure and development around the World.

An efficient inter modal rail system to move the containers by rail to a big marshaling yard outside the city would be a major improvement , and come at a fraction of the cost of a new port.

For the present government, at least, money is not an issue. It has an unlimited supply.

That's because you live in peronist fantasy land where inflation is 10% a year, insecurity is just a sensation, there is no cepo al dolar, and building the world's longest bridge 45km across the rio de la plata would cost less than 350kms of highway built along existing roadways with no major engineering difficulties.

Well you can't expect someone to be a jack of all trades i.e. a highway construction specialist :D
