I'm still here after 5 years, running a business and loving it. And Buenos Aires IS a truck full of laughs, culture, art, music, good times and good people. I can't think of anywhere I would rather be no matter how rich I was. I decided to stay because (for my life style) BA was the best city in the world. It still is! It may not be the best place to build a career or a secure family unit, but it is an amazingly active, vibrant and sociable place to live. When my guests come to this city they are amazed by the variety of things they can take in in one day and also by how much culture is sponsored by the government. I have heard many complaints from the porteños but being bored was never one of them. Live and let live, but don't tell me that because I like it here I am an idiot! I find that very insulting!!!
I never insulted you or any one,if you like it here ,great for you, i like it here too, what i dislike is statements like pajarito's where if you are an American ,you are filthy rich all across the board and petty much have no right to complaint since we are taking advantage of this country.....if that's not prejudging then i don't know what is.....

The people on the top of the riches scale that would have to share their wealth for the good of the society.

Tilda that sounds like a wonderful idea "for the good of society" but we only need to look a bit north here in South America to places like Venezuela. A place where the wealth of the upper rich was siezed or nationalized for the good of society. A place where business and commerce are under the control of the government for the good of society. The result has been nothing short of devastating. The so called Revolution here in South America looks more like a de-evolution and is perhaps one of the most misguided populist political movements in the modern history of humanity. I believe it would be safe to say Venezuela would have been better off in the hands of the rich. There are other resent examples such as Greece.

Socialism involves society and if the society is a mess of ignorance and entitlement thinking then socialism will fail as we have seen. Further if any society wants socialism they could surely start practicing it freely within their society and communities. I really do not see any need to look to the means of the rich to practice socialism or even build a socialist utopia. But that would mean working together and sacrificing for each other which would require effort wouldn't it?

Or you could look to Uruguay, currently ranked first in the region for quality of life.

What about an exemplary socialist country like the United States, where an overbloated nanny state provides exorbitant government handouts to corporations and financial institutions?

Or how about hardcore socialist Great Britain, where a Tory/Labour coalition has been implementing a massive wealth redistribution programme (you can guess in which direction)?

or how about communist China, land of the world's most aggressive capitalists?

// world's stoopidest debate; no such thing as socialist or capitalist countries//

..When the socialist president only goes to fancy, private clinics for health care.

......You see your police doing shit like this:

Truly disgusting and shameful. Anyone notice the obesity of the five white police officers? Or am I just imagining this due to the possibility that the clip's width is distorted?
