    Kids Schools In Palermo

Thanks for that Nick, great info! Being single-sex or religious doesn't really bother us. Our primary concern would be that she'd be comfortable there and that the school is reasonably good. And actually having classmates who are local is a big win too.

    Kids Schools In Palermo

Hi all, Does anyone have any experience of children's schools in Palermo? Mrs Bricky and I are looking into schools for our daughter (who's currently 2). She's English speaking as we speak english at home. All the recommendations we've had (Belgrano Day School, Washington, Licoln, St...

    Fibertel

As we're on a related topic: has anyone tried arnet's vdsl2 offering? Edit: link http://altasvelocidades.arnet.com.ar/

    Fibertel

Chiming in here for a fibertel moan :( We're paying 600 ish for a 10 meg (I think?) connection. It was reasonable until maybe 3 months ago (~3 meg speeds, no dropouts), but it has been gradually disimproving since. Now it cuts several times a day (not sure about the speed, but I assume it's...

Tv2Me Is It Good To Watch Tv In Ba From Abroad?

Been reading up on them, looks like a cool service: http://www.reddit.com/r/adfreetime/ I was tempted to slate you for deliberately hiding an affiliate link, but if you say it was a genuine mistake then no worries.

Living In A House Versus Living In A Apartment

    > Budget is not an issue. What a wonderful way to be! I'm jealous! (nothing useful to contribute to the thread, just couldn't let that pass without pointing out my green eyes!)

Best Time To Fly (Us-Arg/ Arg/us)

skyscanner.net will give you a very good indication of what's possible price- and route-wise. When flying to europe (not what you're asking I know, but likely similar) I find Tues and Weds to be the cheapest days to travel, and generally booking +3 months in advance offers much cheaper rates...

Back To Uk On Old Dni

Here's a thing: can they actually *stop* you from leaving if you don't have a "insert local requirement here"? I tend to get a tiny bit miffed when they ask for my DNI on the way out. Granted I've never said no, but I've been sorely tempted more than once :S

How to get money *out* of Argentina?

(my previous 2 posts got swallowed up in moderation queue, so please forgive if this is a dup) @Napolean: where was your previous place? We've been looking for somewhere that accepts crypto, but we got blank stares at our local one (in Palermo)

What Do You Use When Going Over The Border, Dni Or Passport?

Are the rules different if leaving over land than leaving via the airport? I can only offer my experience when leaving via air, in which case the answer seems to be that both are expected. I always felt that I should be able to *leave* the country with just my passport, but as soon as they...

    Argentines...scared Of The Cold?

This! So. Much. This. Is it because a cold is called a "cold" - is that what's confusing them here? Nothing I can say seems to convince people how silly this thinking is!

Macbook Heating / Fan Issue - Will The Apple Store Check It?

@Serafina: there are no apple stores in Argentina, but there are lots of official service centres, all of whom will support the macbook: https://locate.apple.com/ar/en/service/?pt=4&lat=-34.6037232&lon=-58.38159310000003&f= Personally I'd go the Gringoboy route though - it's probably just a...
