?? I'm 100% against the death penalty but what are you talking about? The two brothers had already coldly murdered civilians, had an RPG, AK-47s, etc.? They manage to kill both while the hostage was freed unwounded... Very nice job as usual from the GIGN

That's what we say in France (although the guys from the police squad, the RAID, are great too). Here the GIGN (Gendarmerie = military) assault on a plane (4 terrorists, +100 hostages). Terrorists wanted to crash the plane into the Eiffel tower (7 years before 911...). No hostage was killed...

Time To Travel To Venezuela With Blue Rate At 1:100?

Wait, I watch the video of the dancing girl again. OK, wow, my purpose is to understand the best possible way what's really happening. (who controls the medias, who are the local producers of toilet paper/soap/etc. and what are they doing and why are they doing what they do, etc.)

Re: Serafina I know I'm likely too cheap (and passive... Should search for new clients, charge more, work less), but how would a novice translator find a 0.09$ job? - ProZ = very unlikely - Contacting directely online agencies = very tricky with no XP - Contacting B&M agencies = sounds tricky...

I'd say it's more or less standard (if it's ENG>SPA, then it's a common pair, Scandinavian pairs pay much more for instance). Other things to consider: flexibility you have saying no to a job, if the fuzzies are paid for a decreased rate, quality of the other translators if you do editing, etc...

I like both Houellebecq & Zemmour, they ask the right questions. Here a debate between Zemmour & Tariq Ramadan (brilliant scholar, quite dangerous too with a double sided speech) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xb6-lXojr4w

Morroco is quite an authoritative power, but it's close from being a democracy. I can also see Tunisia become a democracy (recent democratic elections, Tunisians reject Islamism). But it's true that overall, most Muslim countries are far from being democracies.

Some of them are murderers (Baruch Goldstein, Yiigal Amir, etc.), but it's true that Jews have mostly been victims over the centuries. The Extreme Right gaining more & more weight in Israel is quite worrying though, even for Israel (Extreme Right never produces anything good on the long term)...
