Any way, as I said it before, I strongly condemn it, I never liked Bilardo.
Most Argentines were having a blast laughing at it. As I said, this really touched a nerve in Brazil. We have a very old tradition about water. You don't deny people water, not even to your enemy. You don't mess with people's water. To give a thirty person water is the most basic, elementary and sacred act of courtesy and friendship. To betray that covenant and give someone, under the auspice of kindness and friendship, a bottle of poisoned water, is a depraved act beyond belief.
When the news came out and images of Argentines laughing at the poisoned water incident came out, it turned ugly. It was no longer rivalry, it became something else.
This is why most Brazilians have absolute and total contempt towards the Argentine futebol team.
