Anyone Know About Dairy Production In Argentina?

You are right, I am from Italy.

I am glad you are happy with the quality of dairy products here, I am not! <_<
I don't know about hormones, but in Italy we don't have those milks with added vitamins/calcium that I saw both in the US and here, so I am fairly skeptical about the nutritional value/genuinity of dairy products here.

Thanks Serafina but I'm not going to get in a cab and go there every time I want some cream or whatever. I did once and it's a hassle. I'd like to know about the way the Argentinian dairy industry works normally. In many countries the milk may not be organic, but it's not as bad as it is in the US. I'd like to know if this is the case here too.

Leche in polvo is not good but it's not the same as being full of hormones, antibiotics, or the other nasty stuff in the US non-organic dairy industry.

La Choza sells in dieteticas and it's their milk that is available at El Galpon.

I met a Dutch guy at a friends house in Buenos Aires , who is a mechanical / industrial engineer . His specialty is the machinery that is used in the dairy industry to package milk. The machines were imported from the Netherlands. I asked him about the milk here , and he said had no idea why it tastes so different when it is made on the same machines as many other countries. It must be an Argentine thing to make things taste the way they do here......

The taste of milk comes down to the diet of the cow and the conditions during and after the milking process, milk tastes different in every country, it is all about the water, the grass, the feed, how quickly the milk gets to the shelf etc. Milk used to be more widely varied in taste due to smaller dairy farms, now with central processing and standardization the taste from one area to another is more uniform, however the taste of milk can change depending on regions within a country -- ie milk in BC is very different than that from Quebec.

It's not an Argentine thing. The milk you drank in your country while growing up will always taste different to you than any other region. It's what they eat, it all makes a difference. It is the case with any dairy product:

Please your thoughts about Parmalat Italian milk products quality, the Parmalat Argentina Closure. Also lobbyists in Italy claim that the treatment of cows in Dairy Farms is most cruel and should be forbidden . And that Milk consumption in humans is unnatural among mamals...?

Milk from parmalat and derived products is/was the bottom quality of milks in Italy.

Since it's difficult to find organic dairy I'm thinking of having regular cream and cheese and occasionally milk. I want to know if non-organic milk and dairy is produced the same way it is in the USA, or if it's a better process. In the US it's disgusting and dangerous to eat non-organic milk and dairy, as it is full of antibiotics, hormones, etc.; I would hope that in Argentina even if it's not organic the process won't be quite as industrial/chemical and awful as in the US. I would be especially concerned about antibiotics, hormones, etc., etc.

It's a long shot but maybe someone on this forum knows about the Argentinian dairy industry.
You are in the wrong place "Star" go to Bel Aire. If you are so worried about those details you simply don't have enough to think about.
