Hi, does anyone know what the deal is with income tax if you're on year one of a temporary residency visa (ie rentista visa)? Do you have to pay income tax on the money coming into the country from you're foreign income source? and if so is it enforced?

Yes, yes, and apparently not (yet)...but I think that it might be soon.

I suggest you start a new thread with these questions. You'll get more answers if you do. :)

Ah ok, started a new thread yesterday but got no replies.. wanted to know as hardly seems worth getting the visa if got to pay tax on already taxed money, will work out very expensive.

"Miss information"? If "miss" information got married would she be a Mrs.? What would happen if you did not pretend and admitted that I stated those things? I gave no opinons on the validity of anyone else´s comments. So your offerings about dual citizenship are coming out of left field. Note to tough guy: I did not read a fraction of the posts on this thread, I just tried to advise not to replace a lawyer or your own work with only what you read on here. How did a world beater like yourself wind up in corrientes?

Do you think.. me.. damn I am loosing my english, had to edit this like 3 times.. or anyone else here is posting without having lawyers.. I have 5 of them a few here and few in the USA.

One or two for business contracts.. one or two for international tax BS which is the biggest thorn in my @$$.. etc. And one for my residency/marriage issues.

And damn they are all slow. But I perfer the lawyers here, they are more honest and only charge a fraction of what the US lawyers charge. Even better, they are not strange ass greedy pricks with their heads up their asses. At least not the ones I work with.

And for the record I am not a world beather, I just love my Corrientina !

Update:

1) First citizenship granted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Immigration status: Irregular with deportation order.
From: China
Work: owner of a supermarket (its under somebody else name)
Case started on February 10th 2011.
Delay: 13 months.
Languaje: more or less. She doesn t read or write in Spanish at all.
Criminal certificate from China: from 2007 (super expired)

Pictures of the ceremony as soon as it happends.

The case went to the prosecutor because he asked for the certification of the xerox of the good behaviour certificate. So, in the next 2 weeks we are going to have the appointment for the oath ceremony :D

2) There are another 9 cases ready for sentence. However, I am going to have to discuss and to push the envelope a lot to make it happend because there are some reports that were not replied but they are not needed because the solicitants lacks DNI (those reports are regarding to avoid applications with fakes DNI). Even this is obvious, judges are a little close mind some times  some times?¡?¡?¡?

3) I crossed the Rubicom (the point of no return) last week with a judge who is very racist and I started the legal procedure for a) forcing him to enact the reports b) to fine him in 15% of his salary 3) to remove him 4) to criminaly prosecute him.
As soon as his is a replacement and he is not a judge elected by the Congress, he can be easilier prosecuted.

4) Judge who tried to arrest me last year while I was asking for sanctions for him:
He fullfit his word and he is enforcing the valid law only with my cases. He granted the reports in one of the other cases I have with him. I also ask for the reports of the 3rd cases as soon as it arrived from the chamber.

Regards

Kudos, sir! But I bet all the congratulations and respect don't give as good a rush as knowing that you are making the law work as it was intended.

Wonderful news! Well done!!! Looking forward to mine being granted too.

Enormous congratulations, and to your client! It has been so wonderful to find a lawyer who actually believes that the legal system here can be made to work properly, and with the courage to keep at it til it does.
