ATM in Uruguay for dollars

Does anyone know if you can pull out dollars using an Argentine bank account in Uruguay? From what I gather on these posts, everyone has a US bank account. I'm having the issue of moving back to the US and wanting to take what I've managed to save here home with me. Or if it's possible to use my Argentine debit card at an ATM in the US to withdraw my funds?

Well you can do this with an argentine bank account, but not with the debit card, you have to do it with the credit card, is the same, but you have a limit per month, around 1500 usd a common argentine credit card you may or may not firts call visa customer service to enable this option, you can even talk with your bank to raise your limit for 1 month asking a credit and giving it back in the first day of the next month to avoid been charged by interest, some people i know had done that, and some others not sure how were getting dollars throught turistic agencies here in Argentina, other people go to casinos in Uruguay buy 1000 usd with the Argentine credit card, drink a coke or what ever in the casino and then change the casino coins to dollars, there are other ways but that are the most common ones to get dollars at oficial rate with your argentine bank account and credit card.

Hi guys. If you need USD here in Argentina, send me a PM with your e-mail address and I can refer you to someone who can give you as much USD as you need right here in Buenos Aires. No need to travel to Uruguay.

There are no fees for this service. It is free.

Hi el: expatriado would appreciate your suggestion via PM. TKS

Well the guys that told me about this went to Montevideo, but i supose is the same in both of them, if anyone had gone to colonia casino and try it let us know.
There is one more way to get dollars if you have an Argentine Bank account, this one i tested my self and work perfectly, you need some friend that have a paypal account outside of the country, tell this guy to send you a money request and pay that with your credit card, it will cost you around 3-5% of the payed amount, that is the comision paypal take ;)

Hi expatriado, Im both new to the site and apparently clueless as I have no idea what a PM is. I am desperately seeking dollars and would love to take you up on the referaal. Can you tell me how I can send you my email address?

UPDATE:

I sent someone today to Colonia to withdraw USDs. ATMs are empty which is quite logical after the weekend, but they are supposed to get refilled at 1pm.

I guess the safest bet is to go there on a tuesday.
