Cocina con Valentino is a great store, I will testify to that. The one on Viamonte is where I shop. I'm no pastry chef, and I don't often eat dessert, but they also have a good supply of general cooking supplies in the back room, including decent prices on Pyrex-style glass ovenware.

The front room is mostly all dessert-related, cake decorating stuff.

For health reasons my baking (mostly bread) is now done with almond flour, which is quite a bit more challenging than using normal flour, it's difficult to get it to rise, to say the least. Making pizza bases in particular has proven to be extremely difficult, I haven't been able to get a thin base that doesn't crumble on first contact. If anyone has had success with this, please share, I can also share a recipe for almond bread if anyone's interested.
