Citizenship Options - Overstay Tourist Visa, Or Legit Route?

Why is it better to overstay tourist visa instead of doing visa runs to uruguay? What happens next time you travel then come back through customs dont they give you shit?

I overstayed twice and reentered like 6 or 7 times and just got one guy who wanted to feel powerful and ask some stupid questions before letting me in. So overstaying here is not similarly handled than in other countries, where you often cannot reenter even after 1 overstay. However, some people which have done regular visa runs also run into problems, so I guess the bottom line is: you can get shit either way, so just reduce the number of confrontations, i.e., overstay

I have to ask..... Why do I need a apostle birth certificate to apply for residency when I have a US Passport and US Global Entry? Seems like an unnecessary step.

Why? Good question cruizes - but for me the answer to the question of ''overstay or not'' - looking back on it now I guess I would have still done the overstay to be honest - although in the last 6 months I have actually renewed my visa etc because I had to go back home for a month to get some personal family things sorted out... My 4 year saga comes to an end shortly and I will finally be legal/be a citizen/etc. Its been a long one but eventually you get there

Both are illegal. Equally illegal. So, if you do the "visa run" you have take more risk, that´s it.
