Does this take into account the average wage?

If not its not really that relevant to anyone who is working and living here for real.

That's why I use the "Percentage of Salary for _X___ " to get a decent index.

X = Housing, Health Care, Transportation, Food, etc, etc.

The Buenos Aires prices are on the low side. This is not surprising given the high inflation. Unless the prices are updated at least monthly it is not going to be very useful - for Argentina.

My local fiambreria has cheap local mozzarella at $39 a kilo, they also have port salut etc cheaper. There's a few nicer hard cheeses between 60-90 pesos a kilo too.

supermarkets are a complete ripoff for cheeses.

Agreed there are some deals to get in your local shops.

I would say in general cheese in England is much cheaper.

Camembert is about £1.80 in Tescos. Here in BA I've seen it for $30-$40 pesos.
Double if you use the blue rate, fucking rip off if you use the 'official'.

I don't like the price of beer. 40 pesos a pint with official rate puts it among the most expensive beers in the world.
